After doing absolutely nothing for 2 days on Ko Phi Phi, we ferried back to Phuket to do pretty much the same thing for a few more days. We initially checked in to APK resort and spa, but quickly checked out without even staying a night, as resort and spa it was not; in fact a ‘hostel’ would be too generous of a label. Our last minute internet search landed us at Novotel Resort on Cape Panwa. I had mistakenly thought it was the Novotel in Patong, but we ended up in the more remote part of Phuket, which was fine by us as what we saw of Patong really turned us off. Patong reminded us of Miami beach and Cancun during spring break. Instead of drunken college students, you had drunken foreigners of all walks of life.
