Boston Wave/Corral

Got my wave and corral assignment for the Boston Marathon.  This year there are 4 waves with 8 corrals in each wave as opposed to 9 corrals in each wave in prior years.  Everyone’s assigned based on the time they submitted for qualification.  The faster the time, the earlier the wave and corral – elites are in Wave 1 Corral 1 (1/1).  The rest of us mortals are just waiting to find out where we stand.

I had looked at previous year’s wave/corral cutoff, and had thought I’d be in 3/3 based on my time, but ended up in 3/5 because I got pushed back as a result of the one less corral per wave change.

I get to start at 11am.  Hopefully, it doesn’t get too warm by then.
