Summer Living

J & I are spoiled.  California does that to you.  With the temperate climate here, it’s easy to be lulled into believing that one can only exist in temperatures ranging between 68 and 78 degrees.  That’s the “Goldilocks” of all climate.  We used to break out our shorts when the thermostat hit 60 back in NYC, but now I’ve got my puffy down vest zipped all the way up.  Anything over 78 is just uncomfortable.  Unfortunately, it does get over 78 from time to time, and what’s worse is that most homes, including ours, in LB don’t have central AC.

The solution?

Leaving all the doors wide open, hoping for a breeze.

Leaving all the doors wide open, hoping for a breeze.

Or hit the beach.

Or hitting the beach.

J going in for a dip.

Going in for a dip.

To capped it off?

With leftover ribs from the July 4th BBQ.

An ice cold bottle of beer with leftover ribs from the July 4th BBQ,

and a siesta.

and a siesta.

That’s summer living.

I’m still trying to stick to a meatless diet. I will cheat for your brother’s BBQ ribs, and the special occasion steak, which means I’ll eat meat 4-5 times a year.
