Project #2

Now that the deck is done I’m looking for other things to do in the home.  Was going to clean and reorganize the garage, but that’s just not glamorous enough.  So moving on to the guest room…

Back in NYC I had “painted” some canvas to decorate the apartment.  It was more like kindergarten art – painting leaves and applying them onto the canvas.

It worked OK in the apartment, but seems too dark for our current house.

Truth be told, J was never a big fan of these DIY canvas.  He had suggested putting up photos around the house instead, which I had to agree was a better idea.  The difficult part was picking out the right photos, getting them enlarged to the right size, and getting them framed.

Two years go by, and the above paintings are still up on the walls.

Then came Costco and Ikea…

I found 2 photos, got them processed and enlarged to 12×12 prints at Costco.  Bought the 19×19 Ribba frames at Ikea.

Both are hung in the guest bedroom, replacing the kindergarten art. Now it looks like I need a long horizontal one over the bed.
