Search For Good Pizza

On my last trip back to NYC, I made sure I had some NYC pizza as you really can’t get decent NY-style pizza anywhere outside the city.  Elsewhere, you either have to settle for commercialized pizza (e.g., Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasar’s) or artisan pizza (e.g, Neapolitan pizza).

We went to Pizza e Vino in Rancho Santa Margarita (20 minutes south of Irvine) last night for some Neapolitan pizza.

Did I order a prosciutto and arugula pizza or a salad?

J's sopressata, capocollo, fennel sausage.

They definitely give you plenty of toppings, but as for the quality of the pizza crust itself, Vero Amore in Tucson is much better.

After dinner, we got a chance to take a stroll around the Rancho Santa Margarita lake.

Father and son fishing.
