醉雞

My cooks Mom and dad are arriving tonight.  One always hears ‘you are what you eat’.  Well if that really is the case, then for the last few months I was a drunken chicken.  I’ve had so much Costco rotisserie chicken (and enough white wine) to last me a lifetime.  One huge complaint I have about the rotisserie chicken is why can’t the bird be all dark meat?  Without J, who’s a white meat lover, I’ve had to reluctantly finish the rest of the chicken before I could start on a brand new bird.

Here’s a sampling…

A fume blanc from Total Wine. Drier than most whites and I thought it would pair well with chicken, but I soon realized everything tastes awesome when paired with Costco’s rotisserie chicken 😀

A Pinot Gris from Oregon. Got this from Costco for $10.99 and was surprisingly average for a screw top.

A two buck chuck from Trader Joe’s. It was probably just as good as the Erath.

If it’s any consolation to mom, dad, and J, at least I didn’t survive solely on ramen.
