Loi Suites Iguazu

We finally got a chance to be in the lap of luxury on Monday and Tuesday after Salta’s disaster.  Loi Suites Iguazu is a 5 star hotel that’s tucked away in the jungle.

The hotel is relatively new, and it is located 3.4 km away from the main road at the end of a red dirt path.  It could be for the above reasons that the place was not pack and had a very tranquil, romantic, and spa-like feel.  The service was impeccable, but the hotel food could be better (how could you possibly screw up steak?)  The biggest gripe I had about the place was it’s WiFi.  You would think that in a 5 star hotel, WiFi would be available in all rooms.  Unfortunately, Wifi was only available in the lobby, and that was spotty at best.  The hotel did have 3 computers for guests, and luckily we were able to use it given that there were really very few people there.

One of the suspension bridges leading to the rooms.

They even provide umbrellas at each end of the bridge in case of downpour.  Luckily, it didn’t start raining until the day we left, while we were at the airport.

Gym; ended up doing one of my training runs on the treadmill because I didn’t want to get my running shoes all caked with red mud, and it was hot and humid outside.
